PostSubject: To Camaraderie. [Celeria/Borosel]   Mon Jul 15, 2013 10:23 am

As the final preparations for the encounter with Frieza drew to a close, it was time to awaken the last few saiyans and see where they stand on the matter. A great deal would remain in their slumber as they were transferred to the new planet. Celeria once again walked the familiar path from her quarters to the cryo-bay, but when her eyes fell to the name on the list, she smiled earnestly. It was none other than Borosel, the closest acquaintance Celeria ever had. He was her buffer, her wing-man. The only person on the entirety of the former planet to whom Celeria had trusted with matters of remote intimacy.

When she had arrived to the medbay, Keyla and Grape had already begun the de-freezing process. Kale was nowhere to be seen. No doubt he was working on prosthetics for the warriors wounded during their encounter with Brokka. Celeria waited patiently as the mechanism took its course, with Keyla and Grape monitoring Borosel's vitals.

"Commander, you have no idea how much sedative this one required. It's like we put a mountain to sleep!" - Keyla mused.

"We dosed enough sedatives to floor an Oozaru! The guy is huge!" - Grape added.

"Well, that's Borosel for you. You don't know if it's harder to jump over him or get around him." - Celeria cracked a grin as Keyla and Grape chuckled.

Soon enough, the procedure was complete and the doors of the pod slid open slowly. With heavy and uneasy steps, Borosel trotted onto the cool medbay floor. Celeria crossed her arms and smiled.

"Borosel, you towering bafoon. How're you feeling?"
- she asked as she approached him. She put her hand on his shoulder and her smile widened. "It's good to see you, old friend."

...It had been a long dream.

People often said you didn't think much in cryo-sleep, or that if you did, the gap between entering stasis and emerging would feel so short that it was as if one had entered a light nap.
Well, those people weren't Borosel.
All he remembered for heavens know how long was fighting. Lots of fighting - and plenty of fists pummelling his face too! He certainly knew it was all a dream, but he'd be damned if it wasn't a dream he could get behind. If such had been the remainder of his fleeting existence, he wouldn't have even minded much...

And then it ended.

There was a sudden nagging in Borosel's brain, the twitch of muscles that he hadn't used for longer than he could remember. But he remembered how to use those muscles, and his body seemed quite encouraged to as the seconds passed. This was... waking up, right?
Hearing a loud hiss and gradually forcing his eyes to open, the mountain of mass forced himself to move, familiarising himself with his own, actual body once more. His vision was a blurry haze, sounds and all they related to only becoming understandable after a few moments... Half naked and with his hair still stretching down his back, Borosel looked around quite lazily, needing something - anything - to give him grounding.

"It's good to see you, old friend."

...He seized the hand that touched his shoulder.
"...CELERIAAAAAAAA!" Borosel's scream shook the room, and suddenly what had been a lumbering giant moved with the speed and ferocity of a tidal wave. His free hand raised as a fist, and he sent it flying towards the saiyan commander's face.
"WHY DID YOU GO AND RUIN MY SLEEP?! I WAS HAVING A GREAT DREAM!" And it would seem that, somewhat unfamiliar to speaking again, his indoor voice had been left whimpering in a corner.

Strangely enough, the reaction she got was far from the one she expected. As Borosel flung his fist at her face, Celeria grabbed it. Every nerve in her body swelled with rage as she remembered what had transpired only two weeks ago. She then moved behind him, locking his arm in a hold and eventually grabbing him into a full-body lock and pinning him down to the ground.

"Listen up, you walking wall. These aren't the good old times. Nowadays, if you disrespect authority, I'll collect your sodding head - you got that, soldier?!"
- she grunted while holding him down, as Grape and Keyla looked on in fear.

For a moment, she regained her composure and noticed she was holding Borosel down far more tightly than she intended to. She also never meant to speak to him in that tone. Brokka. Being in the wake of that slaughter changed her. Celeria was aware of that much. But she had a complete reasoning of her conduct in this situation. She would never allow a similar situation to happen again. No, never again. A few strands of her viridian hair fell over her face. She held Borosel down tightly, determined to keep him locked down until he uttered something that made actual sense. She hoped, however, that it would be soon. She would not wish to lose a friend to cryosleep-induced insanity.

"Ow, ow, ow! When the hell did you get so strong?!" Those would have been the words that sought to ever so amazingly escape his lips, but were rather caught by the way in which his head was pinned to the floor. As it was, he couldn't properly pull 'down' his lower lip due to being pressed rather violently into the floor, leaving his response a series only semi-intelligible mumbles and grumbles. Borosel hadn't expected this kind of response out of Celeria, even if he did seem to rather violently attacking her over something entirely trivial. It had been the way of things back on Vegeta - partly Borosel's love of a fight meant that he would often find whatever little excuse he could get if it would start a good brawl; partly his belief that it made one of nature's best forms of resolution to a problem.

And Celeria should have known both of those facts about him.

"...So..." The man managed to pull his head up enough to speak, even if it was more raising his upper jaw whilst his lower one remained firmly planted in the ground.
"Who turned traitor on ya?" The realisation came shortly after the other one. Celeria wasn't one to worry about things unless she had reason to worry - and she shouldn't have had to worry about him or any potential differences in rank. For her to now show concern - even if behind the tough fa├žade of pinning him down - meant something had gone wrong and give her a justified reason to worry.

"Who turned traitor on ya?" - Borosel mumbled and Celeria immediately loosened her grip.

"You'll never believe this. No... actually, I think you will. You remember the old days." - Celeria said, as she got off of Borosel and extended her hand out for him to grab, helping him back on his feet. She dusted herself off and ran her fingers through her hair, letting out a frustrated sigh. Grape and Keyla returned to their duties, no doubt wishing to be far away in case Borosel does suddenly go crazy.

"It was Brokka. General Brokka. The one who was tasked with protecting our late King with his life. Yes, late king. Our home planet is no more." - Celeria spoke. Her eyes fell to the ground at the last sentence and remained thus for a few seconds, before she regaining their authoritative gaze. "And Brokka skirted his orders as a military officer. He's not only a traitor, he's a coward."

Despite the fact Celeria was trying to remain composed, the thought of Brokka and what he had done infuriated her to no end. The day would come when she would repay her debt to that bastard. That is, of course, if she survives Frieza. Celeria silenced her chain of thought as she strongly disliked where it was going.

"But we've got bigger things to worry about. Frieza's coming. It's a matter of days now." - she spoke solemnly.

"'Course I do. I may be dumb but I'm not forgetful." Borosel knew he was a brute and a fighter than a scientist, but he never let the lack of higher thought processes keep him down. The man rose to his feet in expectancy of the answer, not bothering to clean himself like Celeria did. No need to, in his-
"It was Brokka."
...Oh. Oh dear.
"I figured the planet wasn't going to last, but... that rat bastard didn't even fight, did he?!" To be here in any capacity, Brokka would have had to be away from Planet Vegeta long before any final battle for its future must've taken place. Borosel would have killed to be a fight like that, and Brokka RAN?!

Of course, as it turned out, Borosel might have his chance after all...
"...I barely know how much time passed, but I know it was a long time... That Frieza's still alive is... Damn." Certainly, the chance to fight the guy was wonderful, in his mind, but still... even moreso in that they were now the survivors of their race. Much as he might want to fight, now all of them could say the same.
"So I'm gonna go out on a limb and say you have a plan?" Borosel began to walk toward the door, medical staff warily stepping aside as he passed on through out into the hallway, Celeria following shortly behind.

"Because preferably, I'd want to stay here and give old cold face what for... but knowing you, that wouldn't be why you woke me up. Hell, wouldn't be surprised if your power level has gone up since..." Borosel paused a bit as he pressed the side of his scouter, letting it scan the commander beside him...
And then he pressed it again.
And then he tapped it a couple of times.
And then he had to resist every urge in his body to crush the thing in a bloody rage.

"WHEN THE HELL DID YOU GET SO STRONG?!" ...Wait, hadn't he asked this already?

"I figured the planet wasn't going to last, but... that rat bastard didn't even fight, did he?!"

"Nope. Scurried away from the fight like a rat. Killed a saiyan so that he could land his place in a cryo-pod. It's disgusting." - Celeria grunted.

"So I'm gonna go out on a limb and say you have a plan?"

"Yeah, to try not to die." - Celeria grinned. She spoke to Borosel casually, they made heads roll together even before Frieza. It was nice to finally speak to someone she knew from before this chaos. Too bad the fond reminiscing was so likely to be promptly ended at Frieza's incoming hands.

"Actually, that's exactly why I woke you up. I need more strong soldiers for the welcome party. Brokka kidnapped or did away with some of the best in the game..." - Her expression turned grave once more.

"I don't get what he's trying to achieve. He just wasted thirteen lives, including his own. Heck, I would've been there with him too if it weren't for a little scruffy-haired girl named Ikolo." - She continued as they went down the corridor.

"Like it's not enough that Frieza's at our doorstep, we had to be playthings to a cowardly psychopath!"
- Here Celeria's rage erupted and she dove her fist into the wall, leaving a deep dent. "But he'll get what's coming to him, that I can promise you." - She muttered under her breath.

Borosel shot a hand through a hand through his own hair, ruffling with irritation and disdain for the situation he'd woken up to. A traitorous General, the greatest enemy of the saiyan race still breathed, and from the sounds of it, Celeria despite her seemingly massive strength, had been powerless to prevent either from getting out of hand.
"You realise that to do that, you might have to go through the saiyans he took with him, right?" Borosel asked, extending a hand to pull Celeria's fist back from the wall. He needed her attention, not her anger.

"Because thats why he'll have taken them. To subvert your authority because you can't be there to argue against his. I had no clue of what happened when I woke up - neither will they." Letting go, the mountain of muscle began to walk again, one foot descending after another. He seemed to be searching for something... and after reading a few signs, grinned to himself as he approached a door...
Only to see it did not in fact open on his approach, damaged and inoperable. With a sigh, he kicked it down.
"But, if we're gonna defend ourselves against Frieza, I need to pick up the slack. And you need to let off steam." It was a sparring chamber they entered into, though also clearly damaged from what had gone on. Still, some of it appeared to still be intact...

"Because if there's anything I knew from being your friend, its that you were an oddball. Never at your best when you were angry." And soon the man turned on his heel towards the woman, cracking his knuckles and rolling his neck.
"So how would you like to try out your old practice dummy?" And with a grin, he drew one arm to his side, and raised his other before him. His muscles tensed and eased, and the man's breathing began to regulate as he stared across at Celeria. Would she take up his offer...? Did she even have the time?
