Just Breathe In- Ikolo/Espara Empty
PostSubject: Just Breathe In- Ikolo/Espara   Just Breathe In- Ikolo/Espara I_icon_minitimeTue May 07, 2013 1:18 pm

((AN: This is just a little social thread for Ikolo and Espara to converse in before the mission and get acquainted with one another better.))

She was pacing back and forth nervously with her tail flicking side to side in the same fashion as an agitated cat's. Everything was running through her head at once to the point she could barely hear herself think over her anxiety. She looked as though she might wear a groove in the floor with how hard she was striding. She flitted hither and thither with a grimace on her face that seemed entirely out of place for her usually sunny disposition.

The honey eyed saiyan paced and paced, clutching Sayda to her chest in a death grip that seemed to threaten the poor stuffed toy's health or at least its seams. Her thoughts tumbled over one another in such a cacophony she had to start giving voice to them or she felt her head might simply burst from worry.

"What do you think Sayda? Will we do good today? I don't want anyone getting hurt on account of me being slow and silly. I'm not good at this! I've never really been out and about like this before it's so strange! What's it like out there do you think? I wonder if it's pretty. I hope there's a jungle like there was on our old planet."

"Oh, do you think we could make new planets? That would be a novel idea~ Oh but how would we regulate the ecosystems? It'd take a lot of work. We have to be conscious of our environment or we'll end up stripping everything and giving nothing back! Wouldn't that be awful? Imagine all the poor animals with no habitat, the rivers running dry because the trees don't draw anymore rain. Oh dear, oh me, oh my that would be absolutely dreadful!"

She pulled her stuffed oozaru away from her chest and held it at eye level as though it could answer her. "Hnnnnn, you're not helping Sayda. Yer s'possed to make me feel better... Daddy promised you would." Her golden eyes began to fill with tears as she thought about it and she quickly hugged the toy to her chest as if in apology for having said something of the sort. "Would Daddy be proud of me? Would Momma? What if I fail? What if someone gets hurt and I'm just useless because I've not got my powers yet? What do I do if we get into a fight and I can't protect anyone? I wanna be helpful not useless. What do I do?"

Her pacing slowed the more she talked and finally she simply sank down and started to cry. There wasn't anyone around her right now to see. She knew she shouldn't cry in front of anyone else. She'd gotten plenty of beatings for that in the past. She clenched her eyes tightly shut and sniffled.

Daddy wouldn't be proud of this. Look at me, crying before my first mission. I should be honored they chose to take me along. I have to trust their judgement! If the commander needs me I can't fail. If I fall down I just have to get back up and keep trying! I can't let anyone get hurt. I WON'T let anyone get hurt!

She wiped her tears away and sniffed as she composed herself and forced her mind to still. Worrying would solve nothing and neither would crying. She wasn't a baby anymore, she was a saiyan of high rank and she would carry herself as such. She wouldn't dare dishonor her mother and father by crying in front of another saiyan.

PostSubject: Re: Just Breathe In- Ikolo/Espara   Just Breathe In- Ikolo/Espara I_icon_minitimeSun May 12, 2013 12:58 am

Espara always loved to prepare before a mission, the thing Espara loved to prepare most was his scouter. One of Espara’s old friends had modded this particular scouter, nothing special, nothing fancy, nothing even particularly useful. The main thing that Espara’s friend had done is added a few extra features, which Espara could personalise just before a mission. Yes, the time before a mission was something that Espara was quite used to by now, in fact, Espara thought, it had been just a week or so ago that Espara was preparing in a similar way to this. Only it wasn’t just a week, it had been years. Espara’s friend was long dead. All Espara had to remember him by now was his scouter, his friend was no more, reduced to nothing but memories. Yet to Espara, it had been not much longer than a week since their last meeting. Espara had stopped what he was doing for a few seconds; his index finger paused, hovering over a button on his scouter, the dark purple calculations on the screen static.

That was when Espara noticed something about Ikolo. Just moments before she had been conversing with her… thing. Which Espara had to admit he still hadn’t quite gotten used to, then again though not just two hours before Espara had been having a conversation with himself and his scouter, was there really that much of a difference. Now though, Espara noticed that Ikolo’s conversation had stopped, and her eyes were tearing up. Espara about to say something when he noticed that her crying had started to cease though, Ikolo was no doubt worried what he might think of this display of emotion in front of him and had tried to compose herself as best she could, crying was not something most Saiyan’s would tolerate after all. Still though, Espara wasn’t most Saiyan’s, his father had always taught him that.

“Ikolo… are you alright?” Espara asked approaching with an open hand to help her up, statistics still flashing, almost endlessly scrolling down his scouter as he did so.

Just Breathe In- Ikolo/Espara Empty
PostSubject: Re: Just Breathe In- Ikolo/Espara   Just Breathe In- Ikolo/Espara I_icon_minitimeSun May 12, 2013 7:07 am

Ikolo yelped in surprise as he approached her. She hadn't been aware of his presence until now. She wasn't sure when he'd even come in. Oh well her thoughts began to calm as she looked up at him and pasted a brave smile on her face though she seemed neither happy nor calm.

"I'd be lying if I said I was. I nervous and scared and worried. I've never been very far outside my own home before let alone on a mission. I don't know what I'm s'posed to do or how I should act. I... I don't know much of anything about this kind of thing. I'm not s'posed to fight either but I can defend and..." She stopped and turned earnest eyes up at him as she stood and fidgeted with Sayda held to her chest. "Oh, do you ever get nervous? You seem so calm, how do you do it?"

Her smile brightened just a bit as she shifted the subject. She'd given him enough of her worry and he had been kind enough to ask. There was no need at all to continue adding to his troubles. The warriors needed to be ready and prepared well for the mission. She should probably prepare as well even if she wasn't quite sure where to begin. Maybe Espara knew where she could start.

She tilted her head at his scouter and blinked at the backwards data that was scrolling. She could read it, she was quite fluent in many languages, even being backwards to her didn't impede her ability to read it very much but the data itself confused her as did the device. The concept of the scouters was intriguing and confusing at best. Couldn't they just learn to sense ki instead? Oh, did anyone really know how to sense anything outside of themselves? "Can you explain the scouters to me again? They're still a bit confusing." She shifted from foot to foot with her tail twitching and flicking on occasion.

She was beginning to calm already. His presence was enough to comfort her and he would be going on the mission with her as well as the commander and the good humored doctor. Espara seemed to be the one she found the most comfort in. She'd already become more familiar with him than anyone else really though it might be impolite to state as much. She set Sayda atop her head and looked up at him patiently awaiting his answer. Today couldn't be that bad could it? No, not as long as he was around.

Just Breathe In- Ikolo/Espara Empty
PostSubject: Re: Just Breathe In- Ikolo/Espara   Just Breathe In- Ikolo/Espara I_icon_minitimeSun May 12, 2013 10:55 pm

When Ikolo had yelped in surprise, Espara couldn't help but flinch slightly in surprise himself, he hadn't noticed that the Saiyan had not yet been aware of his presence. Then again though, when he really thought about it, he had just come in without properly announcing himself yet.

"Sorry." Espara said quickly, "The door was open. I didn't mean to startle you."

Espara listened intently to Ikolo explaining her situation to him. He'd seen plenty of Saiyan's that had been worried before their first mission. He'd actually comforted quite a few himself, in private of course, comforting another Saiyan isn't exactly customary to their race.

'Do I ever get nervous?' Espara thought about this for a second. Espara had never really been nervous before a mission. In fact he still remembered his first mission, it was one of the happier memories he had. He remembered playing rock, paper, scissors with his friend Haya, the Saiyan who had kindly modded his scouter. They had both been playing rock, paper, scissors to see which of them got first pick of whatever was contained within the house of the person they were sent to kill. This became a thing that they both did before each of their missions. Rock, paper, scissors wins first pick of the loot.

"No, not really. We're gonna be fine, think of it more like a survey mission." Espara said with a smile, "You'll do great, I know it. The best thing you can have is have confidence about yourself, and if anybody else asks, you're not nervous." Espara added, putting his thumb up with a smile.

Espara had noticed that Ikolo had taken a bit of interest in his scouter.

"Can you explain the scouters to me again? They're still a bit confusing."

"Yeah, sure." Espara said, clicking a button, the screen went blank, "Scouters are usually only used to gather the data of somebody's... or something's," Espara couldn't forget that one mission he had been on now could he? "power level. But honestly, I mainly use it for the extra features my friend programmed into it." Espara explained smiling.

PostSubject: Re: Just Breathe In- Ikolo/Espara   Just Breathe In- Ikolo/Espara I_icon_minitimeThu May 16, 2013 1:52 pm

Ikolo listened to him with rapt attention and nodded, mimicking his smile and thumbs up perfectly when he finished his little explanation. She felt a little better knowing he wasn't nervous but she felt a lot better knowing he wouldn't out her for having cried. He was awfully nice for saiyan and especially for a warrior. She had to admit he was very much likeable and much nicer than she was used to.

"Ooooh, could you tell me about the multitude of their functions? What extras did your friend add in for you. I've never really had any friends before." She pouted slightly and looked up at Espara with big golden eyes. "Will you be my friend?" She teetered for a moment as her body stilled entirely in awaiting his response. Every iota of her attention was upon him as she seemed to freeze in place like a statue.

She was barely breathing, like a she'd become stone suddenly. She waited with bated breath for his reply. Would he be her friend? She'd never had anyone to call a friend before now, not even a comrade. As long as she could remember she had nothing but family but never anyone beyond that. She'd always wanted one, just one person she could cry to and laugh with. Someone she could be near and share her free time with.

Friends were commitments you had to build from the ground up right? Or was that wrong? She wasn't sure of that very much. She knew she'd like to be Espara's friend though. He was very nice and she wouldn't mind sharing her time with him. She'd always played a game with auntie Aza where Azami would dress up and pretend to be different people and they would have tea together or share a snack. It would be nice to have tea and snacks with Espara wouldn't it? Yes, she was certain it would. Maybe if she had a friend she'd be able to find the confidence she needed in herself. It'd definitely be a lot more relieving to have a friend with her on the mission. Wouldn't that be a good thing indeed? The word had a good ring that suited Espara she thought.

"Ooooh, could you tell me about the multitude of their functions? What extras did your friend add in for you. I've never really had any friends before."

Espara smiled, he admired Ikolo's eagerness, "Well, he added in quite a few extras actually. Nothing particularly useful in battle, it sure helps pass the time though." Espara grinned, "He added in things like database browsing, and it stores all of my books and things. My friend Nich here actually brought quite a few books with him, books from all around the galaxy. Me though, I have all of my books right in here." Espara tapped his scouter. "My friend basically opened up a door of possibilities with my scouter too, I can create whole programs that were never there before, as well as editing the pre-existing ones. Though my friend didn't add in any features that are particularly useful right now, he gave me the power to create something that may be deemed useful in the future." Espara smiled, he wasn't sure if he had went off on a tangent or not. He didn't mind going off on a tangent once he knew somebody well, but he tried not to with people he'd only just met. So he just ended his speech with, "So it's pretty handy."

"Will you be my friend?"

The question had caught Espara off guard, nobody had ever asked them to be their friend, it just kind of happened, and not very often. Espara had only ever had three people he could call his friends. The closest thing Espara had to a friend growing up was his father. His first real friend hadn't come until his first mission, when he first met Haya, the same friend who had personalised his scouter. His second had been the previous Lieutenant Spin, the one who's title he now bore. Then there was Nich, who he'd met very recently. Nich was the only living friend of Espara's, until now.

"Of course." Espara said smiling. Though he was at a loss for what to do now, did they shake hands? Hug? Espara had to inwardly laugh at that one. The thought of being caught doing something that was deemed so weak such as hugging. Espara instead played it safe and simply held out his hand to Ikolo as soon as the two words had escaped his lips.

Ikolo listened attentively when he began answering her and all her muscles seemed to return to the motions they'd been in previously. Oh, that was very interesting. She hadn't ever really known much about computers and programs, mother had said that was her husband's job to teach her.

"That is pretty handy! I only have one book but shhh we don't talk about it. I'd like to read some more books some time. Would you read with me sometime? It's been a while since I shared a good book with someone." She leaned and twisted, Sayda hopping off her head as she deposited him somewhere nearby without a single touch. She twirled in his direction and gracefully wrapped her arms around his middle with a delighted giggle bubbling in her throat. "Yay, my first friend!"

She spun away as gracefully as she'd come and skid to a stop only to keep wiggling curiously. She was certain that everything would be well now. She had Espara going with her and he was a friend. She was still rather anxious. She'd be fine with him nearby and she could follow his lead with what to do she hoped. Maybe she'd prove more useful than she thought.

Short legs extended one at a time as she pranced a circle around the larger saiyan with tail swishing. "How do you act while you're on a mission? Could I try to mimic your bearing? I spose I could just act the commander but that seems a bit tacky to me..." She made a face saying the word 'tacky' like it left a bitter taste in her mouth. She was very used to gentle speech.

"That is pretty handy! I only have one book but shhh we don't talk about it. I'd like to read some more books some time. Would you read with me sometime? It's been a while since I shared a good book with someone."

"Sure, why not? I've never had a shared reading experience before." Espara replied.

"Yay, my first friend!"

Her enthusiasm was certainly catchy, Espara felt pretty comfortable around her, other than Nich, the last person Espara had felt this comfortable with was his old friend Spin. Even so, Espara felt himself growing more and more comfortable with her, he felt a small smile slowly form between his lips.

"How do you act while you're on a mission? Could I try to mimic your bearing? I spose I could just act the commander but that seems a bit tacky to me..."

Ikolo's question snapped Espara out of his quick, little daydream. "You just have to be cool, calm and collected, even if you're not fake it. Sure. You could try to act like me if you like." Espara answered, ending with a small smile directed at Ikolo. Espara laughed, "Haha, yeah, that would be a bit tacky."

"So, how are you coping with the abundant possibilities that lay before you now that you can make your own choices?" Espara asked, he smiled, he liked mimicking the narrator from his favourite book every once in a while.

Ikolo stopped and seemed to freeze again but only for a second. She shifted her weight to one leg and the other one curled up under her like some sort of awkward bird. "I 'unno. I've been trying to find something useful to do with myself ever since I was awoken. I-I guess I'm not coping very well. I have nobody around anymore to tell me what to do or even suggest what I should do. I've just been wandering around lost and confused and trying to help where I can even if it's just helping the cooks clean the kitchen and what not or scrubbing floors. I know what I have to do for me but what do I do for everyone else?"

Tears were slowly building in her eyes and she quickly turned to scoop up Sayda and discreetly wiped them away. She sighed and hugged the toy to her chest and turned back to smile up at Espara. "I'll just have to learn more. There's a lot out there to discover. It'd be fun don't you think? I'll never be perfect and I'll make lots of mistakes but that's part of learning. I already learned that lesson pretty well." She fidgeted her tail curled around Sayda as her left hand idly scratching at a bandage around her right palm.

She heaved a sigh and climbed up Espara's arm adroitly to perch on his shoulder with bare feet swaying lazily. "Can I borrow one of your books to read? I like fantasy and comedy novels but Momma always said they weren't educational..."

"I don't think you need to do anything for anybody else, I think you just need to take some time out to have fun" Espara replied, "I mean we haven't got the best facilities for that here, the best we have is an eating facility that doubles as a bar where you have to wipe your feet on the way out. But I'm sure we could find something to do."

"I'll just have to learn more. There's a lot out there to discover. It'd be fun don't you think? I'll never be perfect and I'll make lots of mistakes but that's part of learning. I already learned that lesson pretty well."

"Yeah, ever since I was a kid I'd always looked up at the stars and dreamed of actually seeing them, seeing them up close. When I finally did it was a dream come true, I finally got to see the things that were spoken about in so many of the books I'd read." Espara said, "There is still a lot of stuff out there to see, a lot of things to learn, perfection isn't something I dream of. I like the imperfections in things, it makes them unique. Imperfection gives inanimate objects soul, whilst giving living organisms a beauty that is unique only to them. So I wouldn't worry about being perfect." Espara ended smiling.

"Can I borrow one of your books to read? I like fantasy and comedy novels but Momma always said they weren't educational..."

Espara wasn't surprised this time when Ikolo climbed up his arm and onto his shoulder.

"Sure, tell you what," Espara said, removing his scouter, "you can borrow this." Espara added, holding his scouter up to Ikolo on his shoulder.

Just Breathe In- Ikolo/Espara Empty
PostSubject: Re: Just Breathe In- Ikolo/Espara   Just Breathe In- Ikolo/Espara I_icon_minitimeTue May 28, 2013 9:02 am

Iko listened to him closely and broke into a grin that only widened as he went on. Her tail wagged lazily as she leaned sideways and sprawled herself across his shoulders as he offered her his scouter. She closed her eyes and focused on the scouter, lifting it up with only the touch of her mind and putting it over her ear.

"Being what I am it's my job to take care of people, especially our own people. It just comes with my job description. Have you ever considered becoming a philosopher? You seem very intelligent for a warrior, I' must say I agree about imperfection. It's part of life and I think imperfection is perfection in a way."

Her toes curled against the balls of her feet as she lounged on his shoulders like a cat. Experimentally she pressed the button on the scouter seeing what it did. She could figure it out, it'd be a grand puzzle! She'd have this thing solved no problem! Right?

"Do you mind if I try to figure out the functions without asking for help? I need to exercise my mind and stimulate my critical thinking." She grinned sheepishly at that. She looked a little odd with the scouter on but she seemed perfectly comfortable with the new look. It definitely took some getting used to, she only needed one eye for the scouter but she was used to using both eyes to read something, it was driving her slightly cross eyed.

"Oh wow, reading this is much harder than I thought. A definite exercise in... flexibility. Must be something profound in that statement because I'm awfully flexible, I can put my feet on my head from behind my back after all!" She laughed musically at that and pressed the button to read more of whatever she pulled up. Hmmm, she'd get this, she knew she would. She just had to keep trying, she'd have it down pat soon for certain.

A quiet thought made it passed her lips as her mood dampened a little. "Momma used to tell me that our people were overly brutal and savage, what little I saw of our people when I was young adhered to those admonishments. Now that I'm here it doesn't seem entirely so. I wonder if you and the others are just calmer than those I've had to take fights with or if everyone here just doesn't feel like fighting right cause... well, all the obvious reasons and what not."

She pressed the button on the scouter again and found the books. "AHA! I knew I could figure it out! Oh, thank you for letting me borrow your scouter Lieutenant Espara! I'll take the best care of it!" She leaned forward and laid a quick kiss on his cheek in what she hoped was an acceptable lady's thanks for the good deed.

She held Sayda out for him to take if he wanted. "Since you're letting me borrow something very important to you it's only fair that I let you hold something equally important to me until we trade back right?" Was that why she carried it around with her? What was so important about a stuffed toy that she always had it with her?

Just Breathe In- Ikolo/Espara Empty
PostSubject: Re: Just Breathe In- Ikolo/Espara   Just Breathe In- Ikolo/Espara I_icon_minitimeSat Jun 01, 2013 3:42 am

Espara watched as Ikolo took his scouter away, and put it on, it seemed to suit her he thought. It was the first time in years that his scouter had been in another's hands. Just three people had laid their hands on his scouter since it was officially made his most prized possession. His father, who had given him the scouter, the only possession left that was once his mother's, his friend, who had modified the scouter for him. The final person to have laid their hands on his scouter was a common thief, who had tried, and failed, to take it from Espara whilst he had been camped out one cold night on an unforgiving planet. The thief had met a quick end, by Espara's calculations, the thief had held his scouter for approximately seven seconds before It was back in his possession. Tightly held in his right hand, that was through the thief's chest.

Espara had to admire her, Ikolo felt as though she had a duty to protect those around her. Espara felt that way too. Back on his home planet, Espara had wanted nothing more than protect his father from the Saiyan's that ridiculed them. Sadly, the more that Espara thought about it now, the more he realised that in trying to protect his father, he had in turn become the one thing that his father despised. The one thing that Espara had wanted to protect his father from. A Saiyan warrior.

Espara had been through many battles in his lifetime, and in every battle he had tried to protect those around him. Espara had failed to protect them in one battle though. When he had lost his team, but had at least managed to save his best friend. The same best friend who's rank he now wore. It had taken him some time to hear his rank spoken out loud, but overtime the pain had dulled a little. Yes, Espara admired Ikolo.

"Have you ever considered becoming a philosopher? You seem very intelligent for a warrior, I' must say I agree about imperfection. It's part of life and I think imperfection is perfection in a way."

Espara laughed, for Ikolo mimicked the words of his friend Spin, "Yes, sadly there isn't a need for philosophers in our race, or at least, there isn't a want for them." Espara looked up at Ikolo, "There does seem to be a need, or a want for an abundance of warriors however. Yes, especially the ones with no brains, or at least, a lack of them." He smiled, "There is a want for warriors that lack intelligence, one's that don't ask questions when they are told to do unspeakable things." Espara looked into Ikolo's eyes, "Yes, I would agree. Imperfection is in a way perfection, most certainly."

"Do you mind if I try to figure out the functions without asking for help? I need to exercise my mind and stimulate my critical thinking."

"Yeah, no problem. I never got given a manual when I was first given it, and even if I had there'd be no fun in that. The thrill of exploration within such a small device is too tempting to ruin with a quick flick through a small booklet. Not to mention the added features that it's original booklet won't contain, such as how to set up your music before a mission." Espara said, smiling.

"Oh wow, reading this is much harder than I thought. A definite exercise in... flexibility. Must be something profound in that statement because I'm awfully flexible, I can put my feet on my head from behind my back after all!"

Espara laughed, "Yeah, I couldn't help but notice how flexible you are. I've met Saiyan warriors who could barely move their arms, some of them couldn't even straighten them."

"Yeah, that thought has crossed my mind to." Espara said, "I've had my fair share of fights, whether they were called for or not. Many of the Saiyan's I've known seemed to have no conscience at all. Here though," Espara thought back to the people he had met here so far, "people are... different. Maybe it is due to the current circumstances, maybe not. Either way, I'm glad I have somebody so like minded by my side." He looked up at Ikolo and smiled.

"AHA! I knew I could figure it out! Oh, thank you for letting me borrow your scouter Lieutenant Espara! I'll take the best care of it!"

Espara smiled, he hadn't expected Ikolo to suddenly lean down and kiss him on his cheek. Espara had been trained well, he had even trained himself well over the years to keep his emotions in check, and during most of the situations he had found himself in it had worked. In this situation however, he had not managed to stop his cheeks from turning pink. Espara had tried to keep his cool after the kiss, he couldn't be sure of how well that was going though.

"Since you're letting me borrow something very important to you it's only fair that I let you hold something equally important to me until we trade back right?"

Espara took the plush toy that Ikolo had held out for him in both his hands, cradling it gently, he held it before him and looked at it. He looked back up at Ikolo, "Are you sure?" He asked her, "I know how much this must mean to you."

Just Breathe In- Ikolo/Espara Empty
PostSubject: Re: Just Breathe In- Ikolo/Espara   Just Breathe In- Ikolo/Espara I_icon_minitimeMon Jun 03, 2013 8:55 am

Ikolo listened to his responses with a grin and slipped off his shoulder adroitly as she began to prance about a bit with one hand holding the scouter to her head as she moved. She didn't want to drop it after all! "I'm sure. Sayda was the last memento of my father before he left on mission. He said Sayda'd watch over me and make me feel better while he was gone. Maybe he can help you feel better while I'm borrowing your scouter, it must be important to you too so it's only fair right?"

She noticed his cheeks turning slightly red and a look of worry crossed her face. Was he sick? She hoped not, she couldn't fix sickness yet. Oh, she'd have to get her power soon. She could nurse Espara back to health the old fashioned way until then. She'd have to procure some tea and fruit for him though. Oh, meat was also supposed to be good for helping alleviate illness because of the protein. She didn't like meat though, that was cruel and she refused to eat it. Oh, eggs were a good source of protein and they weren't cruel if you only ate the duds or had sterile ones. Yes, eggs it would be. She'd start bringing him meals tomorrow. She'd have to trail him to find his room though. She wiped the worry from her mind as she seemed to return to normal color.

She smiled up at him like sunshine as she began her usual prancing but kept one hand firmly on the scouter so it didn't fall off. He said something about music and she quickly stilled to begin looking for said music. Frantically she seemed to search for it and finally a look of relief crossed her face and a smile split her lips wide. She quickly began trying to figure out the music function but she had an idea that might help her get ready for the mission. "Can you make it so we can both hear the music? I wanna stretch my muscles a bit before we go. I wouldn't mind an audience while I dance, maybe it'll help me feel a little more confident in myself."

She was almost always dancing anyways, except for the times she seemed to lounge on Espara's shoulders and when she went eerily still. She had a rhythm in her that only she could hear but now she wanted a different rhythm. She wished to dance to another drum for now. Her hips already wiggled a bit as she swayed and held the scouter firmly awaiting Espara's answer. "Oh, and do you by chance have any tribal dance music? Earthy music really makes me feel most calm and it's great to beat feet to."

((OOC: We can end the thread with the alarms blaring now that the meeting is being called if you like.))

Just Breathe In- Ikolo/Espara Empty

Yeah, sounds fair." Espara said with a small grin, "Funny, you say that your father gave you this, as a memento... The scouter was a gift from my father, the only possession left of my mother's." Espara said, looking at the stuffed Oozaru in his hands. Espara wasn't sure why he was telling Ikolo all of this, maybe it was because she was being so open and up front with him. She just seemed trustworthy and honest.

"Yeah, my friend installed a speaker on the outside of the scouter, just flick the switch on the outside and when you select some music it'll play from that speaker. It's a crude way of selecting where the music comes from, but it's easier than scrolling through a ton of menus." Espara replied, watching Ikolo as she almost skipped around the room. "Yeah, I don't mind watching you dance, as long as you don't want me to join in, I've never really danced before." Espara said.

"I have a ton of music on there, but sorry, I don't think there's any tribal music on their. Is that what kind of music you're into?" Espara asked, as he sat down on the ground, leaning his back against the wall, with one knee raised and his right arm draped over it.

Espara's ears suddenly pricked and his shoulder's tensed a little as sounds from the alarms blared through the speakers in the room. The light in the room began pulsating a blood red in time with the sound of the alarm.

Espara looked at Ikolo, "Guess the meetings called off." he said, "And I'd just sat down too." He added, standing up.

Just Breathe In- Ikolo/Espara Empty
PostSubject: Re: Just Breathe In- Ikolo/Espara   Just Breathe In- Ikolo/Espara I_icon_minitimeSun Jun 09, 2013 12:37 pm

Ikolo shrugged and smiled happily as she twisted and took her stance with the scouter sitting firmly on her ear with her mind's power holding it in place. It would certainly be an exercise of body and mind to function as one in motion and keeping something else immobile against her. She shrugged gallantly before flicking the switch, her mouth opening to reply, as her concentration was shattered and the scouter fell from her ear.

The sirens wailed suddenly, the bright red of the lights terrifying the girl with how suddenly they had appeared. Every gear in her head ground to a halt but the scouter was falling, falling... SNATCH! Her tail darted out and snagged the device before it could go below her waist. She took it cradling it in her hands. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. I was careless, I didn't mean to- I almost-I'm sorry..." She kept her head down as she took the scouter in her hands carefully and cradled it lovingly. "I know how much it must mean to you. I could have broken it. I'm sorry I was careless. It won't happen again I promise."

She was crying. There wasn't much to hide the fact other than her short stature and her downcast head. The tears were swiftly wiped away as she handed back the scouter, snatched Sayda with her mind and ran for the door. She had cried in front of another saiyan. The biggest rule of the outside world had been broken in an instant. It wasn't the fact she didn't trust Espara, she trusted him very much. He was kind, and not as brutish as some were. It was the thought that he had seen and that he knew she had cried that she couldn't stand. She padded quickly out of the room without a goodbye and bolted for where she hoped she was supposed to go. She'd just follow the first several people she found as she ducked and darted adroitly around corners and down the halls. She couldn't be weak in front of other saiyans, no matter how bad she felt or how scared or insecure she was. She had to be strong for the good of her people.

((And with that I hereby declare us done here. Terribly sorry we ended on such a sad note. :c ))
